While I continue to cull through all 4000+ photos that Robin and I took on our destination wedding to Jackson, New Hampshire, I wanted to share some quick sneaks of the beautiful sites we got to experience!
We flew into Manchester Airport so the drive to Jackson was about 2 hours. On the way we decided to stop in Meredith at the suggestion of our bride Abby! It was such a cute little town and we really enjoyed our quick visit. We stayed off the interstates and highways as much as we could so we were able to really see a lot more of the state than we expected.
Our little hotel, Wildcat Inn & Tavern, was so quaint and welcoming. The staff was so kind! Once settled a little, we decided to see what was around the area. I’ll admit, there wasn’t much! This sweet little town is a very popular ski area so it only boasts a couple restaurants and shops. We still loved it. Before dinner we decided to check out Jackson Falls and boy did it not disappoint! It was breathtaking and I kept telling Robin is reminded me of New Zealand! We decided to eat at our Inn and we were so impressed with the Tavern and the staff.
The following morning, we had some time before we needed to arrive at the wedding venue so we ate Breakfast at this adorable little place next door to our Inn. The previous night our server told us about Glen Ellis Falls which was about 8 miles away so we hopped in the car for some more exploring. I am so thankful for Robin’s go-with-the-flow personality and desire to explore because I would have hated to just sit around. The falls were beautiful and so peaceful.
On our way back to Manchester we stopped in Concord to see the state capital and walk around a bit.
The farthest north I’d ever been in the US was Boston so it was so fun being able to see more of the state! Even if it was only for 3 days!
AND I just realized Robin and I brought along all this fancy gear and didn’t get one nice photo together. Oy vey. We are a mess!!
Here are some of the beautiful sites we got to see and some cell phone shots 😉
New Hampshire, you didn’t disappoint!
