Justin and Shadou were married in a stunningly intimate wedding at the Poinsett Club on typically hot South Carolina day. This stunning day was over 10 years in the making and they had family fly from all over the world to join in.
When I first met with Justin and Shadou, we went over a couple of wedding day details but mostly we enjoyed some yummy tacos from Willy Taco and got to know each other. I quickly realized Justin would get along famously with my husband, so had Vince join us. Four hours later, after we said goodbye, I tried to act cool but most definitely squealed with excitement from the front seat of my car. I. LOVE. THIS. COUPLE. I could not wait for their wedding.
Shadou, being in the hospitality industry, had such a beautiful vision for her day and added in fun details – like a gelato bar instead of cake – and a dune buggy exit with a champagne toast. She was breathtaking in her Kenneth Winston gown and was as cool as a cucumber all day. Tommy Hilfiger himself could not be prepared for how handsome Justin looked in his suit. Justin decorated the inside of the cigar boxes and bought items that reflected his friendship with each groomsman (I. KNOW. How sweet?!)
Shadou and Justin both impressed upon me how special it was that 4 of their grandmothers would be there, so be sure to find the super cute photos I got of the 6 of them together!
These two “warned me” that they are awkward at photos, but as you will see below that is a lie. I mean, come on with the Blue Room photos (you gotta scroll down 😉 )
Mr. & Mrs. Norris – I cannot, cannnnnot thank you both enough for trusting me with your wedding day. Saying it was an honor may sound cheesy but it was. The whole day was so much fun and y’all felt like life long friends.
P.S. Justin, you don’t have a ‘weird face’ and crying during the first look is literally every girl (and photographers dream!). Shadou, you are not ‘awkward’ in front of the camera and I literally still pinch myself when I look at the photos of you.
Congratulations!
