I met Allison the first day of 9th grade. She has the most incredible laugh and she is one of the sunniest people I know. We’ve both changed a lot in the last 15 years and we unfortunately only get to see each other once a year at best but I cherish her friendship so very much.
When my favorite musical, Waitress, announced it was closing January 5th, I texted Allison about crashing at her house because I HAD to see Waitress one more time. She graciously let my sister and I spend the week in her Brooklyn home and on our last night I had the chance to take photos of her, her boyfriend, and her pup!
It was SO cold out but Allison rocked the gorgeous Saloni gown (rented from Rent the Runway!) and Matt looked so handsome in his navy suit. We started out at the Brooklyn Bridge Park and ended in Chinatown. (Side note: Go to Joe’s Shanghai and get the soup dumplings. You can thank me later.)
Fun fact about this session: I didn’t use flash, fill light, or any other light source other than what was on the street. I’ve wanted to do an “available light” shoot for years so I’m super happy I finally got to do it!
